The Carolina Canyon Alumni Association is where your journey with us continues—not where it ends.
From Camp Ignite and CRESP, to Finance Pathways, JRT, STEMpact Academy and our Comprehensive Enrichment Programs, thousands of DC youth and adult learners have come through Carolina Canyon classrooms, gyms, college campuses, and work sites. The Alumni Association exists to keep that community alive, connected, and moving forward—together.
Who We Are
The Carolina Canyon Alumni Association is a growing network of young people and adults who have completed any Carolina Canyon program, including:
- Youth programs (Camp Ignite, CRESP, Middle School Career Exploration, MBSYEP/Growth Industries, Finance Pathways, STEMpact Academy)
- Workforce development & Job readiness programs (JRT, Comprehensive Enrichment/DSI, East of the River, Hospitality Launchpad)
- Financial literacy workshops, career readiness bootcamps, and special cohorts hosted with our partners
If you’ve sat in our classrooms, joined our field trips, pitched a business idea, built a budget, opened a bank account, landed a job through our support, or completed a Carolina Canyon cohort—you’re an alum.
Why We Built This Community
Carolina Canyon was created to close the wealth gap, increase economic mobility, and give underrepresented communities access to real opportunities. The Alumni Association is the next step in that mission.
We know that:
- Opportunities come through relationships and networks, not just resumes
- Youth and adult learners often need ongoing support, not one-and-done programs
- Our alumni are some of our strongest leaders, mentors, and partners
The Alumni Association is designed to be that long-term support system—a place where our people can grow, give back, and build with one another
What Alumni Can Expect
As the Alumni Association grows, we’ll offer:
Job leads, internship and apprenticeship opportunities, resume and LinkedIn refresh days, and warm introductions to our employer and college partners.
Advanced financial literacy sessions, investing and entrepreneurship conversations, and access to tools that help you keep building on what you learned with us.
Chances to come back as near-peer mentors, guest speakers, volunteers, and eventually as employers and partners hiring the next generation of Carolina Canyon participants.
Tickets to sporting events, Alumni meetups, college and career panels, “where are they now?” stories, and celebrations of the work our alumni are doing across DC and beyond.

The Carolina Canyon Alumni Association is a lifelong community for anyone who has completed a Carolina Canyon program, from youth initiatives like Camp Ignite, CRESP, Growth Industries, Finance Pathways, and STEMpact Academy to adult programs like JRT, Comprehensive Enrichment, East of the River, Hospitality Launchpad, and our financial literacy cohorts. It exists to help close the wealth gap and expand economic mobility by keeping alumni connected to career and education support, job and internship leads, advanced financial and wealth-building workshops, and a powerful network of employer and college partners. At its core, the Alumni Association is our promise that once you’re part of Carolina Canyon, you’re family—and we’re committed to walking with you as you grow, lead, and lift up the next generation.
